New Metropolitan Bus Fares effective 6 January 2013

A fare increase will commence Sunday 6 January 2013 for CityRail, Sydney Ferries and metropolitan and outer-metropolitan bus services in line with the cost of living. Pensioner Excursion Tickets and Family Funday Sunday tickets will not be changed.

Route 801 diversions on Western Road, Kemps Creek effective Friday 13 May 2011

Metro-Link would like to advise passengers that road works are being carried out on Western Road, Kemps Creek until 30th June, 2011. Due to these road works Western Road, between Watts Road and Tavistock Road has been closed which affects the 801 and school services in that area.
 
The following are directions for diversions for the 801 route to and from Badgery’s Creek.
 
L/Pool to Badgery’s Creek
From Elizabeth Drive bus turns L>Devonshire, R>Lee and Clark, R>Herbert – then continues along Herbert bearing right onto Brenda Road,L>Devonshire, L>Exeter Rd, R>Western Rd and then resumes normal Route 801.
 
Badgery’s Creek to Liverpool
From Elizabeth Drive bus turns R>Western Rd, detouring L>Exeter Rd, R>Devonshire, R>Brenda Rd bearing left then continues along Herbert, L>Lee and Clark, L>Devonshire and then resumes normal Route 801.

L> = Bus turns left, R> = Bus turns right

Free Cabramatta Shuttle Service Route 88 effective Monday 14 March 2011

The free Cabramatta Shuttle runs every 15 minutes. The service operates on a one-way loop starting from Cabramatta Interchange connecting Railway Parade, Canley Vale Interchange, Adams Park, Canley Vale Road, Canley Heights, Cambridge Street, St Johns Road and Bartley Street.

The route number for the Cabramatta Shuttle is 88.

Hours of operation are:

Weekdays: 9.00am to 2.30pm

Weekends: 9.00am to 5.30pm

If you are planning to travel by bus over the Christmas & New Year period please note that there are reduced timetables in place from Saturday 25 December to Monday 3 January 2011.

Metro-Link Cowpasture Road Depot now open for customer enquiries

From Monday 6 December Metro-Link welcomes all customer enquiries to be made in person at our new bus depot on Cowpasture Road. Customers can access information on lost property, timetable information and school travel enquiries.

Two new Monday to Friday services have been added. Cabramatta to Mt Pritchard has a new evening service departing Cabramatta Station at 8.32pm. Mt Pritchard to Cabramatta has a new evening service departing Oliphant St & David St at 8.46pm.

Metro-Link would like to advise passengers that any weekly tickets purchased up to 17 April 2010 are still valid for 7 days. We cannot accept Metro-Link issued weekly tickets after the 24 April 2010. From this date on you will need to use a new MyZone weekly ticket.

New School Bus Services commencing 22 March 2010Added: March 18 2010

School Bus services will be changing on Monday 22 March. A new bus network is being introduced that will affect many students. All students should check to see which bus they need to catch.

These changes may mean buses to/from school are:

  • leaving at a new time,
  • travelling on different streets,
  • using a different Route Number (sign above the driver),
  • driven by a different company (different color bus), and/or
  • linking with another bus and students need to change services.

New Region 3 bus network commences 22 March 2010 Added: March 9 2010

Regular Bus services in the Liverpool, Fairfield and Holroyd areas will be running to new timetables and routes from Monday 22 March, 2010.

These planned service changes are the result of the integrated transport network planning process and will provide more frequent and direct service.

A guide to your regions new services will be delivered to your letterbox in early March or is available to view online.

Where school bus services are changed, these details will be provided to students through their schools. Copies of the timetables can also be viewed online by clicking here .
